Now settling in Ireland

For the time being we are in Midleton in Ireland. Daniel is working as a painter and Jody is (believe it or not) working as a special needs assistant at a school for children with mild disabilites as well as writing a weekly social column for the county newspaper (that's county, not country). The work is not bad... I've only been slapped across the face a few times... but I guess the punishment comes with the territory.
We have tried to see a few places around Ireland since moving here a couple of months ago. Some of the highlights are the Ring of Kerry (visiting some old stone forts and castles and going on bushwalks... some where you can't even see very far because the weather was so bad!) We also kissed the Blarney stone, that's right we are tourists!!!! And checked out the Rock of Cashel, a cool castle on a mountain top.
Enjoy!

Great photos Jodes. Looks like you are having a ball. Think of us in boring old suburbia...!

Hey...just thought i needed to add something....all the photos are amazing...and the gorgeous black children....maybe this should be a comment on the africa bit.

Well! The Blarney Stone...quite an experience. Do you feel more eloquent for having done so. That is the myth. I never felt any different. But I do have moments of lots of talk...so maybe??

Catch you on another comment

Glad you all liked the photos. And thanks for the tip Danny! Just changed it then. Jan: you're a sweety! gotta love the gorgeous black children! Don't think the Blarney Stone has made a big mark on us... although Daniel has been talking an awful lot lately!
Look forward to your future comments... :)
